EYLF – Assessment in the Early Years
With the Introduction of the EYLF, staff from Gowrie centres across Australia have been working together in a project to review the range of possibilities for ways of approaching assessment. Our work has led to the development of a resource – Assessment in the Early Years: A Resource from Gowrie Australia drawing on the Early Years Learning Framework.

Townsville and Cairns now have something more in common than tropical beauty these cities both now have Lady Gowrie Long Day Care Centres. In Townsville we are located in Kennedy Place and Cairns Waratah Drive in Manunda is our latest member of the Lady Gowrie family.
Our new identity is founded on our philosophy and passion for education, while it also reflects our proud history and bright future in all aspects of early childhood education.
At its core is a clever evolution of our beginnings here in Queensland, and incorporates the colour jacaranda, as was Lady Gowries wishes when she opened Love Street.
We prepare children for life, and feel our new identity better prepares us for who we are as an organisation helping the next generations of Queensland families.
